DTF Pressing Instructions

To get the best results with your dtfsatransfers.com prints, follow these steps. Please note that every heat press is different; we recommend testing with a scrap piece before starting your full project.

Application Steps

Prep

Preheat your garment for a few seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

Align & Press

Position your transfer and press at 300°F for 10–15 seconds using firm pressure.

Instant Peel

This is an instant peel film. Remove the clear carrier sheet immediately after pressing while it is still hot.

The Finish

Cover the design with parchment paper and press again for 5–10 seconds. This cures the ink into the fabric for maximum durability.

Care & Troubleshooting

  • Wait to Wash: Allow the garment to sit for 24 hours before washing or stretching.

  • Lifting? If the design tries to lift during the peel, stop and re-press for 2–5 seconds.

  • Adjustments: If issues persist, try increasing your heat by 10°F or adding 2–3 seconds to your timer. DTF is forgiving, so don't be afraid to tweak the settings to fit your specific press.
